Steps for New workspace creation
Creating a workspace in IdeaScale is a simple process that can be set up in 5 minutes. However, configuring workspace communities with members, SSO, Custom domain etc can be done after login. Lets dive into the registration process!
In order to create a Workspace from our website, please follow the below steps:
Go to the registration page: https://app.ideascale.com/signup.
Users can register with any of the social login options available or use the email address they want to be associated with the Workspace.
Continue with Email will bring them to a page Lets get started page. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions of the platform and then proceed with the registration by inputting First name, Last name, Email address, create a Password, accept the captcha and proceed with the Next button.
The system will ask to enter an OTP sent in a verification email to the registered email address.
Once verified, a page will appear to input Organization name and create desired Workspace URL. User can also opt to allow users with the same domain to join the workspace if they have the Workspace URL and proceed.
The next page is for community and campaign creation. Enter the desired community name and community extension to your workspace URL. For campaign creation users can select any 1 of the default campaign name or create their own campaign and then click on Finish button to complete the registration & workspace creation.
Note: By default, a private community is creation. Community admin can later change it to Public from Community Settings >> General Settings >> Community Info >> System Settings if needed.
After completing the process, user will be logged into the Workspace where they will need to complete the profile by entering username and setting timezone.
Viola! The workspace and community is ready for adding members and community setup.
