We are happy to announce multiple newly released features and some upcoming feature releases for the month of April! Below we’ve outlined some of the recently released features and what can be expected in the coming months.
Released Features
Leaderboard Export
We’re happy to announce the leaderboard export as a new feature! This feature will enable users to export all the data available on the community leaderboard within the selected timeframe. Among the tabs offered in the export (see screenshot below) users will be able to export Kudos given and Kudos received. The below screenshot shows where these options will be available in the Reporting & Analysis tool.
Popular Tab Removal
As listed in our previous product updates, the “popular” view for idea sorting will be removed. Multiple places around the product will be affected by the removal of this option, and below we’ve listed each area users should expect to see a change.
- Home and Campaign pages: “Popular” will not be offered as a sorting option.
- Landing pages: If any landing pages were set to show “Popular” ideas by default, they will now be set to “Recent” ideas.
- Export Top 5 ideas: This feature previously exported top 5 popular ideas and will no longer be an option.
- API calls: We’ve listed below the depreciated API calls with the popular option. These API calls will no longer be accessible from the IdeaScale API directory.

Upcoming Features
Set Community wide Campaign Landing Tab
In Customization Settings under Customize Site Behavior, we're adding a feature called "Select Default Campaign Tab." This option offers four choices: Ideas, About, Team, and Workflow.
When an option is chosen, users will be directed to that specific tab when they visit their campaigns. This setting applies globally to all campaigns within the community. By default, new communities will lead users to the "Ideas" tab, but Administrators can opt for a different tab.
Custom Sidebar Boxes for Campaigns
In order to promote increased customizability for campaigns, we’re introducing the addition of two new custom sidebar boxes for each campaign. Every campaign now can have up to three custom sidebar boxes to add relevant campaign information to all members.
Build Team Ideas in the Profile Section
Users will now be able to access the ideas that are part of the Build Team stage in their profile section. When navigating to the “My Ideas” tab in the Profile section, users will be able to see ideas that the joined or were assigned to as part of the Build Team stage. This option will appear in the drop down highlighted below.
