IdeaScale Whiteboard: Launch Announcement

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the first integration with IdeaScale Whiteboard in January 2024! IdeaScale Whiteboard empowers members to engage in real-time collaboration using both pre-made and custom templates. This real-time collaboration solution enhances communication for campaigns and streamlines problem-solving, ultimately boosting productivity. IdeaScale Whiteboard includes one free board per campaign, and can be upgraded to access unlimited boards. Below, we highlight key features of IdeaScale Whiteboard:

Shared Campaign Dashboards

Accessible to global admins, global moderators, and custom admins from the profile dropdown, IdeaScale Whiteboard showcases the campaign dashboard as the initial screen upon navigation. Each campaign possesses a unique dashboard, easily switchable via the campaign switcher. To return to IdeaScale, utilize the home button located in the campaign switcher or next to the profile button.

Real Time Collaboration

Each board supports collaborative usage by up to 10 members concurrently, allowing them to add elements and edit the board simultaneously. Board members can employ sticky notes, shapes, groups, drawings, and more to tailor a collaborative session that fulfills the team's requirements. Additional members gain view-only access to the board.

Internal Task Management

The campaign dashboard includes its own dedicated task manager. This feature empowers members to create and monitor tasks associated with the boards they collaborate on, shared with everyone granted access to the campaign dashboard. Explore the task manager to seamlessly transition between collaboration and implementation using IdeaScale.

Updates to the Digest Emails: Our digest emails will now be more concise. We will limit the display to a maximum of five ideas in the email, accompanied by a button that allows users to access the complete list of ideas that are not included in the digest.

  • New ideas digest
This digest will showcase the top five most recent ideas. By clicking on the "View all recent ideas" button, users will be directed to the Home Page.

The View All Recent Ideas button will navigate the users to the Home Page >> Recent tab

NOTE: Going forward, the New Ideas digest will exclude any new comments.

  • Community Task  Digest
The current Community Task Digest includes all ideas with associated tasks. However, the newly redesigned task digest will now showcase the top 5 most recent ideas that have associated tasks. By clicking on the View your Action items link, users will be directed to the Profile >> My Action items>> Recent tab.

Discontinuation of "Popular" idea sort option soon
The Popular option is used to sort ideas based on SmartScore on the Home page and the Campaign Home page. However, since we have discontinued the use of "SmartScore," the Popular sort no longer functions correctly on these two pages.
Popular

Clients who have chosen Popular as the default sorting option for their communities will now have Recent as the default sorting order. However, they still have the option to change it to Trending or Recommend (if enabled) based on their preferences.

New communities will default to the "RECENT" sorting option.

Based on our analysis of the data, it is clear that users prefer the "Recent" sorting option for engaging with ideas. This option has consistently shown the highest rates of users exploring idea details and upvoting ideas. As a result, moving forward, new communities will have the "Recent" sorting order set as the default, providing a more engaging experience for users compared to the "Trending" sort order.
