We're excited to announce a series of enhancements designed to elevate your experience with IdeaScale. These updates focus on improving usability and efficiency for both end-users and administrators.
Released
Enable Co-submitters to Leave an Idea Submission
Co-submitters will now have the ability to leave an idea submission if they don't agree or want to be part of that idea. Currently members can be added as co-submitters to an idea, but there is no way for them to remove themselves from that idea submission. With this change, a co-submitter is able to leave the Idea by clicking on the Idea Submitters icons within the Idea details page, and selecting "Leave Co-submitters"
Upcoming
Linked Ideas Update
We have been working on a new feature that will improve the experience of users linking ideas together either through the idea submission process, or from the ideas details page. There are multiple changes to the linked ideas modal that users will notice:
- Limited number of ideas shown when linking new ideas. Clicking "Show More" will take additional ideas to select from. Users will still be able to search through ideas to find a specific idea to link from this area.
- New "Linked" and "Non-Linked" tabs for ideas. These tabs clearly organize which ideas have already been linked and which haven't to make linking new and existing ideas easier.
- Multi-select for link types. Each idea can have multiple link types to another idea, and with this new design it's easy to see and select which link types are applied for an idea.
- This linking experience will also be accessible to Moderators from the Incoming Moderation panel. This will enable a more efficient linking process for Moderators when analyzing ideas.
New Stage Comment Notifications
We're expanding the comment notification to include comments from specific stage comment sections. This includes the Build Team, Assessment, and ReviewScale stages. When a user turns their Comment Notification "On", and they are an applicable member to one of the following stages, they will receive a unique comment notification for each stage comment rather than only for the general Idea comments.
Edits to Admin and Moderator Nomenclature
With the recent transition to our new Workspace architecture, we will be updating the Administrator and Moderator naming conventions to be more aligned with the current product hierarchy. Everywhere in the product, Global Admins and Global Moderators will now be referred to as Community Admins and Community Moderators. This change will have no impact on the functionality of any Admin and Moderator roles within IdeaScale, but is simply a title change to accompany the new Workspace updates.
Add Ability to Select Time for Broadcast Emails
When sending broadcast emails, admins will now be able to select the time the email is sent rather than it being a fixed time. Users will select the time and date (in UTC) to send their email.
