Setting up Teams Integration
IdeaScale’s Microsoft Teams integration brings collaborative innovation to your daily workflow. Engage with ongoing campaigns, submit ideas, comments and vote on submissions, Kudo your colleagues without leaving your collaboration environment and needing to learn a new system.

Microsoft Teams Integration
1. Add IdeaScale app
First log in to the Microsoft Teams app. The member must search for the IdeaScale App in the Microsoft Teams App directory and add it.
After adding IdeaScale App in Microsoft Teams, It will appear under the More (3 dots) option.
2. Authorize with Microsoft Teams
After completing the first step, we now need to authorize with Microsoft Teams.Click on the IdeaScale app from the More (3 dots) option to navigate to the page to add in Workspace URL and login to it with your IdeaScale login credentials for completing authorization. Authentication via SSO, Google, or Microsoft login are als possible, mirroring your IdeaScale access.
3. Access Campaigns & Ideas
Voila! Its ready. You can start accessing all the campaigns and ideas you are authorized to access under the campaign settings for all the communities within the Workspace.
Note: Microsoft Teams integration supports one Workspace connection at a time.
Using IdeaScale Microsoft Teams App
Once a member has authenticated Microsoft Teams with the Workspace, 2 tabs are available to them to access the ideas within the various communities within their Workspace -
Campaigns Dashboard
This tab displays a list of active accessible campaigns from all accessible communities, with each card showing a title, brief description, banner image. Users can click on any campaign tile for more details.
Clicking on a campaign navigates to a campaign page where members can perform the following actions:
1. Submit an idea - Members can submit an idea or else save it as draft. Note that private submission is not allowed. Note: If required fields are not supported or are missing, the idea will be saved as a draft in IdeaScale, and users will be notified to complete it there.
2. Comment - Members can see, edit or delete pervious comments or submit new one. The comment can be pinned to the top, made private or annotated. An attachment can also be added. Note that anonymous comment submission is not allowed.
3. Vote - Members can vote on an idea or retract it.
4. Follow/unfollow idea - An idea can be followed or unfollowed.
5. Kudos - Kudos can be given to the idea submitters or commenters.
6. Filter ideas - The ideas can be filtered to Display Recent or Trending ideas in ascending or descending order.
7. Search ideas - Ideas can be searched using keywords from title, description or tags though advanced search is not available.
8. Campaign pages - Apart from Ideas page, About campaign, Team and Workflow pages are also available similar to the IdeaScale application.
9. Idea details page - The idea details page will show the Idea comment and attachment tabs. Note: Stage comments will not be available.
The following actions are NOT available on IdeaScale Microsoft Teams app:
1. Labels - The labels cannot be added on idea details page and are not clickable but can only be seen on the ideas. They can only be added during idea submission.
2. Tags navigation - The tags cannot be added on idea details page and are not clickable but can only be seen on the ideas. They can only be added during idea submission.
3. Member profile page - The idea submitter or commenters' names are not clickable to navigate to the members' profile page.
4. Stage actions - None of the stage actions apart from voting are possible at the moment.
5. Activity tab - The activity tab under Idea detail page is not available.
Ideas List
This tab allows to select one community from the list of accessible communities within the workspace along with multiple campaigns from the selected community. Once the selection is done click on View Ideas to navigate to the ideas list.
The ldeas list page has a Community dropdown and a Campaign dropdown. Where the Community dropdown allows loading ideas from a single community selected from the dropdown, the campaign dropdown allows selecting multiple campaigns from the selected community.
Members can perform the following actions on the Ideas list:
1. Vote - Members can vote on an idea or retract it.
2. Follow/unfollow idea - An idea can be followed or unfollowed.
3. Kudos - Kudos can be given to the idea submitters or commenters.
4. Search ideas - Ideas can be searched using keywords from title, description or tags though advanced search is not available.
The following actions are NOT available on the IdeaScale Microsoft Teams app:
1. Labels - The labels are not clickable but can only be seen on the ideas.
2. Tags navigation - The tags are not clickable but can only be seen on the ideas.
3. Member profile page - The idea submitter or commenters' names are not clickable to navigate to the members' profile page.
4. Stage actions - None of the stage actions apart from voting are possible at the moment.
5. Idea details page- The Idea titles are not clickable to access the Idea details page from the Idea list.
6. Comments - The comments icon is not clickable to view comments.
