How to find a specific idea

The Idea Search tool in a community helps in an easy and quick search for ideas, campaigns and members using various filters. It allows searching the ideas based on one or multiple filters like time frame, labels, stages, tags, moderator tags, and custom fields.

Filters

The All (Ideas, campaigns, and members) search shows the following filters.

Time frame: This provides a date range for the search.


Labels:
Multiple system labels, as well as custom labels can be selected at a time. This includes only the clickable labels.


Stages:
Multiple stages from multiple funnels can be selected at a time.


Tags:
Multiple tags can be selected at a time.


Moderator Tags:
Multiple moderator tags can be selected at a time. Note: It is visible only to the community's Community and Campaign moderators.


Custom fields:
These show the idea custom fields. Multiple custom fields can be selected at a time. Once selected the dropdown for answer options appears. Only single-choice or multiple-choice custom fields will appear here.


Include Archived Campaigns: Enabling this checkbox will show search results, including both archived and active campaigns along with their ideas.



Searched result filter

The searched result can be filtered for ideas, campaigns, members, or all of them.

All: Filtering for All will show ideas and campaigns followed by members who match the result.


Ideas:
Filtering based on only Ideas, shows additional filter options like Campaigns and Member Profile Questions. Multiple campaigns, member profile questions as well as their answer options can be selected at a time.

a. Campaigns: All the active campaigns are available in this dropdown. Multiple campaigns can be selected at a time.

b. Member profile questions: These show the Workspace and Community member profile questions having single-choice and multiple-choice types. Multiple profile questions with multiple answer options can be selected at a time. Note: Workspace-level member profile questions marked as Administrative field and Private field are visible only to a Workspace admin (who is also the Community Admin).


Campaigns:
Filtering based on Campaigns alone, will show only Time frame as the filtering option along with Include archived campaigns switch.


Members:
Filtering based on Members alone, will show only Timeframe as the filtering option along with Member Profile questions. These show the Workspace and Community member profile questions having single-choice and multiple-choice types. Multiple profile questions with multiple answer options can be selected at a time. Note: Workspace-level member profile questions marked as Administrative field and Private field are visible only to a Workspace admin (who is also the Community Admin).

Note: All the filter options and search results will depend on the permission levels and authorization levels of the person searching.
