Follow an Idea

Follow/Subscribe to an Idea

Members of the IdeaScale community have the option to follow specific ideas by clicking the star icon located below the idea details in the "More" section. By doing so, they will receive email notifications whenever a new comment is added or when the idea progresses to a different stage.

Upon clicking the star, a confirmation message will appear, indicating that the idea has been successfully followed. Members can easily unfollow the idea by clicking the star icon again.

Here is an example of the email received by the member when a comment is added to the idea they have subscribed too.

For convenience, all ideas that a member has starred can be accessed under Profile >> My Ideas >> Following tab. 

Additionally, the ideas currently being followed can be found under Profile >> About >> Ideas Followed.

In case a member has digest email notifications set as weekly, daily, or realtime in spite of these settings, if the member is following an idea they will always receive the notification for a new comment or stage change on that idea in real-time (instantly). Following an idea overrides the Digest email notification setting for that idea.
