Follow an Idea

Follow/Subscribe to an Idea

Users in the IdeaScale community have the ability to subscribe to specific ideas by clicking on the star that is below the idea details. This will keep users posted through email whenever a comment is added or the idea changes stage.

When clicking on the star the following message below will be displayed to the user

Members can unfollow an idea by clicking on the star again.

Here is an example of the email received by the user when a comment is added to the idea they have subscribed too

Additionally, you can find all ideas you have starred under Profile >> My Ideas >> Following tab.

The ideas being followed by the member can also be found under Profile >> Notifications >> Ideas Followed

In case a user has digest email notifications set as weekly, daily, or realtime in spite of these settings, if the user is following an idea they will always receive the notification for a new comment or stage change on that idea in real-time (instantly). Following an idea overrides the Digest email notification setting for that idea.
