A Guide to Utilizing the Customizable Sidebar Module

| The Community & Campaign Sidebar is a customizable set of modules that can be shown, hidden, and reordered by drag and drop on the Community Landing Page and the Campaign Page. |
The Community & Campaign Sidebar displays a set of customizable modules alongside the Community Landing Page and individual Campaign Pages, surfacing campaign activity, tags, kudos, top performers, and administrator or moderator contacts for community members. Modules are repositioned, shown, or hidden using Edit Mode.

Role Permissions
- Community Administrator: Full access to edit, reorder, show, and hide modules on both the Community Sidebar and the Campaign Sidebar, including the Campaign Sidebar Tiles.

Community Sidebar
- Edit Mode is accessed by selecting Edit Mode from the Profile Dropdown on the Community Landing Page.
- The eye icon switches a module's visibility on and off on the Community Landing Page.
- The dotted lines are used to drag and drop a module into a new position.
- Modules with a pencil icon are edited directly; selecting Publish saves the changes made.

Active Campaigns
This module lists all active campaigns in the community, grouped and ungrouped.

Archived Campaigns
This module lists all archived campaigns in the community, grouped and ungrouped.

Tags
This module displays the top tags used in the community, with the most-used tags listed first along with the number of times each has been used.

Selecting View All navigates to the Tags page.
Community Kudos
This module displays Kudos awarded in the community to members in a rolling format. It also displays the number of Kudos received, given, and remaining for the member currently logged in to the community.

Top Performers
This module displays the top performers for six actions taken by community members, showing one member from each applicable category. The Top Performers module is updated using a default time period of the last four weeks. The categories are Kudos Received, Kudos Given, Idea Submissions, Comments, Votes, and Total Engagements. The leaderboard can be further filtered by Campaign, Group, and Time Period.


Note: Anonymous Submissions and Private ideas visible to Administrators or Moderators are excluded from the leaderboard count. See Exceptions below.
Contact
This module is used to share information or contact details with community members.

Moderators
This module displays all Community Moderators of the community along with a Manage Community Moderators link.

Administrators
This module displays all Community Administrators along with a Manage Administrators link.

Community Custom Widgets
This module is used to add a brief description of the community, events, or other information for community members to view. Three widgets are available: Community Custom 1, Community Custom 2, and Community Custom 3.

Campaign Sidebar
- Navigate to the campaign to be edited.
- Edit Mode is accessed by selecting Edit Mode from the Profile Dropdown.
- The eye icon switches a module's visibility on and off on the Campaign Page.
- The dotted lines are used to drag and drop a module into a new position.
- Modules with a pencil icon are edited directly; selecting Publish saves the changes made.

Upcoming
This module shows the upcoming expiry of Stages and Campaigns. It is visible only if a campaign or stage end date is specified, and can be hidden and reordered in the sidebar. See Exceptions below.

Idea Submission Ends
This module is visible only if the idea submission end date is specified under Campaign Settings' Schedule >> Idea Submission Status section. It shows the date if the end date is more than seven days away, and a countdown timer if the end date is less than seven days away. This module can be hidden and reordered in the sidebar. See Exceptions below.

About Campaign
This section shows the campaign stats along with the campaign sponsors.

Campaign Funnel
This module shows the list of stages, along with the number of stage ideas associated with the campaign's funnel. The stages listed are clickable.

Top Campaign Performers
This module displays the top performers for five actions taken by community members within the campaign, showing one member from each of the top categories.

Moderators
This module displays the Campaign Moderators for the particular campaign.

Tags
Only Campaign Tags are displayed in this module.

Campaign Custom Widgets
This module is used to add a brief description of the campaign, events, or other information for community members to view. Each campaign has its own distinct set of widgets, visible only on that campaign. Three widgets are available: Campaign Custom 1, Campaign Custom 2, and Campaign Custom 3.

Note: The Active Campaigns, Archived Campaigns, Community Kudos, Contact, and Community Custom Widgets modules function the same way on the Campaign Sidebar as described in the Community Sidebar section above.
Exceptions
- Upcoming Module Visibility: The Upcoming module is visible only when a campaign or stage end date is specified.
- Idea Submission Ends Module Visibility and Display: The Idea Submission Ends module is visible only when an idea submission end date is specified under Campaign Settings' Schedule >> Idea Submission Status section. It displays the end date when more than seven days remain, and a countdown timer when fewer than seven days remain.
- Top Performers Leaderboard Exclusions: Anonymous Submissions and Private ideas visible to Administrators or Moderators are excluded from the Top Performers leaderboard count (TO BE VERIFIED — whether the same exclusion applies to the Top Campaign Performers module is not specified in source).
- Campaign Sidebar Tiles Editing Restriction: The Campaign Sidebar Tiles can be edited by the Community Administrator only; the Custom Administrator does not have access to edit them.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Community Sidebar and the Campaign Sidebar?
The Community Sidebar appears on the Community Landing Page and displays modules relevant to the whole community, such as Active Campaigns, Tags, and Community Kudos. The Campaign Sidebar appears on an individual Campaign Page and displays modules specific to that campaign, such as Campaign Funnel and Idea Submission Ends, along with several modules shared with the Community Sidebar.
How are sidebar modules reordered?
Modules are reordered in Edit Mode by dragging and dropping them using the dotted lines shown on each module.
Why is a sidebar module not visible on the page?
A module's visibility may have been switched off using the eye icon in Edit Mode, or, for the Upcoming and Idea Submission Ends modules, the required end date may not be set. See Exceptions above.
Can the Top Performers leaderboard be filtered?
Yes. In addition to its default time period of the last four weeks, the Top Performers leaderboard can be filtered by Campaign, Group, and Time Period.
Who can edit the Campaign Sidebar Tiles?
The Community Administrator can edit the Campaign Sidebar Tiles. The Custom Administrator does not have access to edit them. See Exceptions above.
How many Custom Widgets are available?
Three Community Custom Widgets are available on the Community Sidebar, and three Campaign Custom Widgets are available on the Campaign Sidebar, specific to each individual campaign.
