Community Review Translation

The Translation Moderation setting appears in the Navigation Panel for any assigned Translation Moderator, alongside any other settings assigned to that role. A switch at the top of the page toggles the view between Workspace Translation Moderation and Community Translation Moderation.

Role Permissions

1. Translation Moderator: Changes a submitted idea's original language, reviews and edits translated content, verifies translations manually or automatically, and bulk-verifies ideas and comments within archived campaigns.
2. Administrator: Selects the supported languages available for translation from Community Settings >> Community Configuration >> Settings >> Multi-Language, which determines what content becomes available for the Translation Moderator to review. See Exceptions below.

Steps to Change the Original Language

1. Select Review Translation on a submitted idea.

2. A new page opens for changing the original language.
3. Select Change beside the Original Language option.
4. Choose the correct language from the dropdown.
5. Select Save Changes. A success message appears along with the updated language.

Steps to Edit or Verify the Contents of a Submitted Idea.

1. Select Review Translation on a submitted idea.

2. A new page opens for manually verifying the content.
3. Select the Review button.
4. Edit the Translation box as needed.
5. Select Confirm/Verify.
6. Verified translations are highlighted in light green.

Auto Translate into Supported Languages

Enabling this switch allows the Translation Moderator to automatically translate all ideas, comments, and custom field responses into the supported languages configured for the workspace.

Steps to auto-translate into supported languages:

1. Select Review Translation on a submitted idea.

2. A new page opens.
3. Select Auto Translate into Supported Languages.

4. The idea appears in the member's profile language. The Unverified Translation label         is replaced with the Translated label.

This function allows Translation Moderation to translate content that becomes visible under the Apps icon on the community topbar.

To translate or verify the name of a custom field, the Translation Moderator must verify it manually from Translation Moderation >> Translation >> Custom Field Question by selecting the Review button.

Bulk Verify Ideas and Comments in Archived Campaigns

Enabling this switch allows the Translation Moderator to verify all ideas and comments within archived campaigns simultaneously.

Steps to verify ideas and comments in archived campaigns:

1. Select Bulk Verify Ideas and Comments in Archived Campaigns.

2. Navigate to the ideas and comments of the archived campaigns to view the changes.

Content can also be verified from Translation Moderation >> Translation >> Ideas & Comments.

Exceptions

1. Type, Source, or Translation Content: Contains no content to review or verify until the Administrator selects a supported language from Community Settings >> Community Configuration >> Settings >> Multi-Language.

What is the difference between Auto Translate into Supported Languages and manually verifying a translation?

Auto Translate into Supported Languages translates all ideas, comments, and custom field responses into the workspace's supported languages automatically, replacing the Unverified Translation label with the Translated label. Manual verification requires the Translation Moderator to edit the Translation box and select Confirm/Verify for each item individually, after which the entry is highlighted in light green.

How does Bulk Verify Ideas and Comments in Archived Campaigns differ from verifying an individual submission?
