Details about all the section in Workspace landing page. and editing options

The landing page features a single template where users can customize the text, descriptions, and images, hide sections as well as rearrange the layout according to their preferences.

There are multiple sections on the Workspace landing page that the Workspace administrator can customize, hide or reorder. Lets see them in detail.

Edit Background

Welcome section

This section contains the welcome heading, welcome message, welcome image/video, Explore button that navigate to product tour and Watch video button that nagivate to IdeaScale YouTube video. All these can be edited as well as hidden using following option:

Pencil/Edit icon: It helps to edit the text. In case of an image/video, it allows to upload new file or file location URL within the file library and add alt text fr the file.

Eye/Hide icon: It allows to hide/unhide the text, image or an entire section from the landing page.

Up/Down Arrow: It allows to reorder the sections on the Workspace landing page by moving them above or below other sections.

Explore & Watch video buttons

It provides the options to edit text, button URL, button color or button border color using hex color code, button text colour (White or Black)


Editing Welcome image allows to upload or provide URL for either an image or a video.

'How to Navigate the Workspace?' section

It gives the new members an outline of what can be done in the communities.  

Apart from Edit (Pencil icon), Hide (Eye icon) and Reorder (Up/Down arrow), it has some additional options:

Edit cards: 'How to Navigate the Workspace?' section allows to edit each cards. This includes card icons, their colours, title and description.

Add New Item: This option allows to add a new action item under 'How to Navigate the Workspace?' section. 

Delete/Trashcan: It allows to delete the item.


Your Communities

This section shows the communities a member has joined or is part of. Workspace admin can change its background color and heading. Note: Hiding this section is not possible.


Communities

This section contains all the public communities that are visible to the non-logged in users on the login page. Workspace admin can customize the background and heading using the edit option or reorder them. Note: Hiding this section is not possible.


Communities You Can Join

This section contains the communities that are available for a member join but has not joined yet. It will not be visible if the members doesnt have any such communities. Workspace admin can customize the background and heading using the edit option or reorder them. Note: Hiding this section is not possible.


Explore Campaigns

This sections shows the featured campaigns. Visibility of the campaigns in this section will depend on the member's authorization or accessibility level set in the campaign settings. Workspace admin can customize the background and heading using the edit option, hide them or reorder them.

Edit option also allows to showcase all campaigns or select campaigns that the workspace admin can choose from the list.


Edit Background

Workspace admins can customize the background color for each section to align with their workspace's color theme using the Edit option. They have the flexibility to choose from three background types and two customizable gradient colors. The opacity of the gradient can also be adjusted.

Background type has 3 options to select from:

Solid - 1 solid hex color throughout the section

Gradient - 2 accent colors to form a gradient effect.

Default - No color in the background

Solid Option

Selecting this option allows to select Background color i.e one solid Hex color for the entire section that is being edited. Choosing the HEX code is made simple; click on the color option to reveal a palette where you can easily browse and select the color that best fits the section. Workspace admin can also type or paste the Hex colour code.

The Text color can be set to White, Black or Default i.e. Black

Gradient Option

Under Gradient option the Workspace admin has to select 2 gradient colors - Gradient 1 and Gradient 2 to form a gradient effect. 

The Gradient Opacity can be adjusted to give a blending/transparent effect.

The Text color can be set to White, Black or Default i.e. Black.

Default Option

Default option doesnt have any color selection available. This will set the background to solid white color.
