Explains the settings in email settings and the notifications in this section

This article provides insight into the options found within the Email settings section. These settings offer the ability to personalize, schedule, and activate email preferences and notifications based on the administrator's preferences for the community.
The Email settings have the following settings:

General Email Settings

The General email settings allow us to set up a From email address, from name as well as 3rd Party SMTP service for the community.
1. From Email Address: All emails are automatically sent from ‘noreply@ideascale.com’ (this is not a monitored email inbox). Admin may choose to add in a custom email address for all the emails by adding it to this field. Note: This will require setting up '3rd Party SMTP Services' with the help of your IT department to ensure delivery of emails.
2. Bounce Email Address: Fill in the desired email address where bounced emails will get sent to.
3. From Name: This field can be filled with a specific name instead of the default (workspace name), which will appear as the sender in all emails sent from the workspace.
4. 3rd Party SMTP Service: In the case of customized 'From Email address', this setting needs to be set up by switching the button to 'On'. It opens up the options to connect to SMTP via SSL. Specify the SMTP Host Server, SMTP Port, SMTP Username, and the Password.
We can also validate SMTP by using the Validate button which will help us determine if the information provided is correct and if it functions properly. In case there is an error it will provide us with the View SMTP Error link.
Note: Make sure all required fields like SMTP Host Server, SMTP Port, SMTP Username, and Password are specified correctly when "3rd Party SMTP Service" is enabled in your workspace. If these fields are left empty, it will NOT send any notification emails from IdeaScale to any user, eg: Password Reset emails, invitation emails, notifications, etc.
5. Custom Email Banner: A custom email banner can be set instead of the default IdeaScale one by uploading the custom banner or by its selection from the custom email banner dropdown or you can simply drag and drop the file into the area.
The uploaded images can be resized and readjusted using the resizer. You can also add an Alt Text for the image.
Notification Emails
Notification emails provide workspace administrators with the ability to activate specific emails that will be sent to workspace admins. Additionally, administrators can customize the content of these emails to ensure the messaging aligns with their workspace's needs and preferences.
The notification emails settings are organized into two distinct tabs to enhance usability for administrators.

Emails Logs
The Email logs section is organized into two tabs: Email Reports and Email Delivery Logs.
Email Reports
By clicking the Deliverability Test button, you can access a comprehensive report detailing the emails that have been sent out, allowing you to monitor their status effectively.
