View your Community as an End User

Path: Community Topbar >> Profile dropdown >> Display as Member

This feature was designed for administrators and moderators to switch their view to that of a standard member temporarily. This feature makes it easy for administrators and moderators to preview the community's content or a campaign from the member's perspective. To enable this toggle click your name on the top right of your screen and you will see the Display as Member option. To switch back, simply select the Restore Privileges, and full privileges are restored. 

Note: if you log out while Display as Member is activated when you return you will still be viewing the community as a Member.




Once the Display as Member is activated, the success message will appear and page will reload.

Below is the screenshot of an idea taken when the admin has enabled Display as a Member on Workspace and Community.

On Workspace:

When Display as Member is enabled, the admin will not see the App menu on topbar, Create Community and Add members on the top of Workspace page or Community Settings and Moderator Dashboard on the community's More (3 dots) dropdown.


On Community:

When Display as Member is enabled on the Community homepage, the admin will only get IdeaScale Whiteboard in the App menu on topbar while on the idea's More (3 dots) option only Set Label, Follow Idea, Follow Author and Print idea options will be available. Moderation options will not be available.
