What is Timezone?
Timezone is a personal setting that determines the time zone associated with a member's account to display all dates within the workspace.

The Timezone option is first presented during community registration, allowing a new member to select a preferred time zone. It can be updated at any time from the Profile Page.

Role Permissions

Member: Selects a personal Timezone during community registration and can update it at any time from the Profile Page >> Settings >> Profile Information tab.
Workspace & Community Administrator: Selects a Timezone of their choosing when performing a Data Export for a workspace or community.

Setting the Timezone During Registration

The Timezone option appears as part of the community registration process, allowing a new member to select a time zone of their choice on their first login.

Note: If no Timezone is selected during registration, America/Los_Angeles is applied as the default.

Editing the Timezone

The Timezone can be changed at any time by navigating to the Profile Page >> Settings >> Profile Information tab and selecting a new value.

Timezone for Data Export

When performing a Data export for the workspace or community, an Administrator selects a Timezone of their choosing for that specific operation, independent of any member's individual Timezone setting.

Exceptions

Scheduled and Notification Emails: Automated emails and notifications triggered by an idea or comment submitted in the community, broadcast emails, and any other kind of scheduled email are not sent according to the Timezone selected by a member.
