Resserve Stage setup and functionality

The Reserve stage is a holding area for ideas that are not currently active. Administrators can choose whether it is visible to members and use it to store dated or on-hold ideas instead of leaving them in active stages like Ideate, Refine, or Build Team. While an idea is in this stage, members cannot vote or comment.

Reserve Stage Setup
Reserve Stage setup is divided into 4 tabs - Info, Settings, Automation & Permissions. Let's see them in detail.
1. Info

Info section contains basic details about the stage as follows:
Stage Function - Select Reserve stage from drop down. Once selected and saved, this section will be greyed out and cannot be changed to other stage
Stage Name - Create a custom name/label for the stage. Note: Character limit is 40.
Stage Key - It is a unique identified for the specific stage required for API call data retrieval. Once saved, the key cannot be changed.
Description - Describe stage functionality or how you would like to use this stage. This description will be mouseover text on the stages stack on the right navigation of the community homepage
Stage Color - Select a color for the stage from the 10 available default options.
Reported Ideas As - Set the stage as Selected, Implemented, In Reserve or blank to apply the respective label to all ideas within that stage. The In reserve option will be available only when the stage function is Reserve. Help article on Selected & Implemented Ideas
Enable Stage - Select this checkbox to activate the stage, enabling ideas to be moved into it.
Stage Change Notification - Select this checkbox to activate the stage change notification. Enabling it will send a stage change email notification to the members who have opted for it.
2. Settings

Visible:
When the Reserve stage is enabled, it appears alongside all other stages in the right-hand navigation menu on the campaign homepage, making it visible to all community members. Ideas placed in the Reserve stage are also listed under All Stages.
When the Reserve stage is disabled, it becomes a private workspace: only community administrators and moderators can view this stage and the ideas it contains within Idea Management.

Once an idea is moved to the Reserve stage, it will be labelled with In Reserve label.

Reserve Stage In Idea Management
To access reserve stage ideas in Idea Management, the moderator will need to enable it from the Idea Management settings icon as shown below. It will open up a pop-up to enable the options.

Once enabled, the Reserve stage name will be visible in the search bar upon using the command Stage.
FAQ
Does anything happen to my ideas in Reserve Stages?
No. Reserve Stages are like folders. Unlike all the other Stages, Reserve Stages is simply a holding pen for ideas. There is no set functionality.
Can I automatically move ideas INTO my Reserve Stages?
Yes. You can move ideas automatically by enabling the Automation in the stage before the Reserve stage.
Can I automatically move ideas OUT of my Reserve Stages?
No. You cannot move ideas automatically out of a Reserve Stage, as there is no inherent functionality associated with Reserve.
Can end users comment on ideas in the Reserve stages?
No
Can Moderators comment on ideas in the Reserve stages?
Yes
