[2025](https://help.ideascale.com/product-updates?hsLang=en#2025) # Product Updates - 4th November, 2025 ## Upcoming Changes ##### We’re updating how subscriptions work to give users more control over Idea and Comment notifications. Along with this, the notification preferences interface has been simplified for easier Idea and Comment Notification management **Campaign and Idea Subscriptions:** - Campaign subscriptions will now **voluntary**, giving users the choice to subscribe only to campaigns they want to receive new idea updates from. - Idea subscriptions will **remain automatic** — when someone comments on an idea, they’ll be automatically subscribed to it and start receiving all comment notifications related to that idea. This helps the commenters stay informed about replies and updates without missing follow-up discussions. - Users can **unsubscribe from any Campaign or idea** at any time to stop receiving new ideas , new comment and stage change notifications. #### **Changes to Idea and Comment email notifications preferences ** New Idea Email Frequency  : **Real Time** For users who will opt for Real-Time New Ideas Email Notifications, they will be able to choose to receive Notifications From : - All Authorized Campaigns - Subscribed Campaigns ![](https://help.ideascale.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Nov-03-2025-04-29-51-8809-PM.png?width=430&height=588&name=image-png-Nov-03-2025-04-29-51-8809-PM.png)   Idea Approval Email Preferences for Moderators **Community Moderators**, who are by default Campaign Moderators, often receive idea approval emails from all campaigns. To help them focus better, they will now have the option to receive approval emails for **specific campaigns** or for **all campaigns** they moderate. **Campaign Moderators** will continue to receive idea approval emails for **all campaigns** they moderate and will **not** have the option to select specific campaigns. ![](https://help.ideascale.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Nov-03-2025-04-49-03-9057-PM.png?width=430&height=591&name=image-png-Nov-03-2025-04-49-03-9057-PM.png)   **New Comment Emails** (Real Time) Some users may want updates only on ideas they’re directly interested in, while others may want to stay informed about all activity within the campaigns they follow .
