What is a Private Idea?
A private idea is defined as one that can only be accessed and viewed by community administrators, moderators, or designated groups of authorized members.
How can I enable and submit private ideas in a campaign?
Go to Community Topbar >> Apps icon >> Campaign Management >> Edit Campaign >> Submission Form. Then drag and drop the field into the submission form to make this option available in the idea submission form.
Private ideas can be submitted in two ways:
-
Force Submissions to be Private: When this option is enabled, all ideas are automatically submitted as private, and idea submitters will not have the option to change this setting in the submission form.
-
Notify Admins, Moderators, and Authorized Groups: When this switch is enabled, idea submitters can choose to mark their ideas as private, making them visible only to administrators, moderators, and authorized groups. Every time an idea is submitted the admins, moderators and authorized groups will be notified about the idea.

Idea submittted by a member: When submitting an idea, the member will see an option labeled 'Private Idea Submissions (viewable to admins, moderators and authorized groups)', accompanied by a toggle switch to enable or disable this feature. If the member opts to enable this setting, the idea will be marked with the label 'Private.'.webp?width=576&height=453&name=Screenshot%202025-07-28%20at%2012%20(2).webp)
