[Participation](https://help.ideascale.com/new-user-guides?hsLang=en#participation) # My Ideas Tab ## Details about the tabs under My ideas tab ***Path: Profile page \>\> My Ideas Tab*** | What is My Ideas Tab? | | --- | | **My Ideas Tab** is a personal page under a member's Profile that organizes all of a member's idea-related activity into filtered sub-tabs, such as ideas submitted, owned, joined, followed, requiring action, saved as drafts, or submitted privately. | A member can click on their profile icon to see **My Ideas** tab under the Profile page. A Profile page is common for a workspace and has a community filter to see any community-specific ideas or notifications. ![profile community filter-png](https://help.ideascale.com/hs-fs/hubfs/profile%20community%20filter-png.png?width=670&height=270&name=profile%20community%20filter-png.png) --- ### Role Permissions 1. **Member:** Views their own submitted, owned, joined, followed, action-required, and draft ideas from the My Ideas Tab. 2. **Community Administrator, Moderator, and Authorized Group Member:** Can additionally view privately submitted ideas under the Private Ideas sub-tab. --- **Table of Contents** [Sub-Tabs](https://help.ideascale.com/my-ideas#sub-tabs) [Exceptions](https://help.ideascale.com/my-ideas#exceptions) [Frequently Asked Questions](https://help.ideascale.com/my-ideas#faq) --- ### Sub-Tabs The My Ideas Tab provides two filters: a Recent/Trending sort, and the following sub-tabs. ![action items copy](https://help.ideascale.com/hs-fs/hubfs/action%20items%20copy.jpg?width=670&height=300&name=action%20items%20copy.jpg) **Submitted:** All ideas submitted by the member are displayed under this sub-tab. **Owned Ideas:** Ideas for which the member is assigned as an idea owner are visible under this sub-tab. **Joined Ideas:** If a member is assigned as a team member for any idea, that idea is shown under this sub-tab. **Following:** If the member is following certain ideas, those ideas are visible under this sub-tab. **Action Items:** Any ideas requiring the member's action — such as ideas in the review stage, or contributions in the fund stage — are shown under this sub-tab. **Drafts:** This sub-tab contains all the ideas that have been saved as drafts by the member. **Private Ideas:** Ideas that are privately submitted are displayed under this sub-tab. Private Ideas Visibility: Privately submitted ideas of other members are visible under the Private Ideas sub-tab only to administrators, moderators, and selected authorized group members. 2. Unauthorized Private Submissions: A private idea submitted as an unauthorized user is not included in the My Ideas Tab. --- ### Frequently Asked Questions #### Who can see the Private Ideas sub-tab? Only administrators, moderators, and selected authorized group members can see other members' privately submitted ideas under the Private Ideas sub-tab. #### Will a privately submitted idea always appear in the My Ideas Tab? Not if it was submitted as an unauthorized user — private ideas submitted this way are not included in the My Ideas Tab. #### What appears under the Action Items sub-tab? Any ideas requiring the member's action are shown here — for example, ideas in the review stage, or those requiring contributions in the fund stage. #### Is the Profile page specific to one community?
