| Manage Duplicate and Abuse Ideas is the moderation process for reviewing, approving, and resolving ideas that community members have flagged as duplicate or abusive. |
Moderators are responsible for managing and moderating flagged duplicate and abuse ideas within the community. Flagged ideas are managed and moderated from the Moderator Dashboard.
Role Permissions
- Moderator: Approves flagged duplicate and abuse ideas from the Moderator Dashboard or from the idea details page, and links approved duplicate ideas to similar ideas.

How to manage Duplicate Ideas
Once community members flag an idea as Duplicate, it moves to the Pending Approval stage. A Moderator can then manage the flagged idea in several ways, including approving it and linking it to similar ideas.
Approve Idea
Once an idea is flagged as Duplicate, it moves to the Pending Approval stage, and the Moderator receives an email notification. Selecting the link in the notification email redirects the Moderator to the idea details page.
From the idea details page, the Moderator approves the idea and changes its stage by selecting Moderate.
The Moderator can also approve the flagged duplicate idea directly from the Moderator Dashboard. Once approved, the idea automatically moves to the first stage of the funnel.
Link Ideas
After approving a flagged duplicate idea, the Moderator can link it to other, similar ideas. Five reasons are available when linking ideas.
Ideas can be linked from the Moderator Dashboard, using the Link option under Similar Ideas on the right-hand side panel.
The Moderator can also link a flagged duplicate idea from the idea details page on the front end.
