IdeaScale supports bulk importing of Predefined Tags and Moderator Tags at both the Community and Campaign levels using an Excel file. To ensure a successful import, the Excel sheet must be formatted such that all tags are listed in the first column, with each row containing only one tag.
Tags may consist of a single word or multiple words. When entering multi-word tags, it is important to note that only hyphen-separated values are recognised as a single tag (e.g., Co-operation, Bio-degradable). If words are separated by spaces, each word will be treated as an individual tag — Save The Earth would result in three separate tags being created. Underscore-separated values are not supported and will not be imported — Save_The_Earth will not generate any tag upon upload.
Import Tags - Predefined User Tags
To import predefined user tags at the Community or Campaign level, the administrator must configure the following options in the corresponding section.
Tag Type: Select the Predefined User Tags from the drop-down menu.
Campaign: Select specific campaign or No campaign option from the dropdown to import the predefined user tags . Note: This option is available only for the Community Tags level.
Browser Excel File: Drag and drop the Excel file or browse it on your computer to upload it.
Replace all tags with imported list: Enabling this option will replace all the existing User tags for the Community Tags or Campaign Tags, depending on the section.
Keep existing tags and import new ones: Enabling this option will add the new Predefined user tags to the existing list of User tags. Duplicate tags, if any, will be merged.

To import predefined moderator tags at the Community or Campaign level, the administrator must configure the following options in the corresponding section.
Tag Type: Select the Predefined Moderator Tags from the drop-down menu.
Campaign: Select specific campaign or No campaign option from the dropdown to import the predefined moderator tags. Note: This option is available only for the Community Tags level.
Browser Excel File: Drag and drop the Excel file or browse it on your computer to upload it.
Replace all tags with imported list: Enabling this option will replace all the existing moderator tags for the Community Tags or Campaign Tags, depending on the section.

Excel File Format:
Apply to Ideas: Admin can apply the moderator tags that are being uploaded to the ideas right away by adding a second sheet in the Excel file with 3 columns - Idea URL, Comma-separated tags and Moderator email. Note: this setting is visible only when Predefined Moderator Tags are being imported.
