Our new Duplicate Detection Tool automatically surfaces potentially similar ideas during the submission process. This helps reduce clutter, encourages engagement on existing ideas, and ensures valuable feedback isn't scattered across multiple threads.
The Idea Duplicate Detection feature is enabled by default for all user roles.

Real-Time Detection During Submission
When a user begins typing a title or description into the Submission Form, the system dynamically scans the campaign for existing entries. If a match is found, a Potential Duplicate alert box appears directly below the title field, displaying the existing idea's title, author, and submission date.
Side-by-Side Comparison & AI Analysis
In the Idea Portfolio, ideas with potential duplicate matches display similar ideas and their similarity percentage in the side panel.
Clicking the Compare option opens a side-by-side view. This view includes an AI-generated explanation highlighting exactly why the system flagged the ideas as potential duplicates, allowing administrators or users to make a quick, informed decision.
