Estimate Stage
Estimate stage settings & its functionality
Path: Campaign Management >> Workflow >> Estimate Stage
In this stage, participants assess both the potential value and the expected cost of each idea. Individual estimates are then averaged to calculate the idea’s overall estimated ROI (Return on Investment). Either the full campaign community, or a designated subgroup, is invited to provide estimates of the idea’s average financial value and average financial cost.

2. Settings

In this section, the community administrator selects the currency that will be used to estimate idea costs. The available currencies to choose from are USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, CAD, HKD, CHF, and AED.
3. Automation

Use this section to configure automation for the Estimate stage. When automation is enabled, the Community admin can define a target threshold for the number of completed estimates. Once an idea meets or exceeds this threshold, it will automatically advance to the next stage in the workflow.
4. Permissions

The Permissions section in the Ideate stage defines who can submit value and cost estimates in that stage and who can view the submitted estimates for valuem cost, and ROI on the idea detail page. A community administrator can configure these permissions for all community members, for a specific group, and/or for a specific Team Member role (Only if a team role has been specified & filled in any build team stage in the same funnel).
Stage Functionality on Homepage
Once an idea gets in the estimate stage, assigned group members can click on the 'SUBMIT ESTIMATE' button which will redirect to the idea details page having two sets of question
The first set is meant to estimate the cost and comprises the following questions:
-What is the MOST that this idea could cost to implement?
-What is a REASONABLE cost to implement this idea? and
-What is the LEAST that this idea could cost to implement?
And the second set to estimate values comprises of the following questions:
-What is the MOST that this idea could be worth?
-What is a REASONABLE amount that this idea would be worth?
-What is the LEAST that this idea could be worth?
The community member can estimate the idea as such by entering digits. For validation purposes, only digits are accepted, and the value of the “Low” cost cannot be higher than the one of the “Medium”, similarly, the medium cost cannot be higher than the “High”.
Once all set, click on the button “SUBMIT ESTIMATE”. The system will take all estimates, average it and provide them with final ROI figure.
Participants can modify their submitted estimates by clicking on the pencil icon.
Participants who are not permitted to view or participate will not see the progress bar, Return on Investment percentage nor Average estimated value and cost.
