Email Notifications Received By Moderators

Email notifications received by the community moderator

Moderators of a community receive email notifications for various approvals and other activities that occur within the community. 

IdeaScale has 5 types of Moderators:

  1. Community Moderator

  2. Campaign Moderator

  3. Group Moderator

  4. Custom Field Moderator

  5. Translation Moderator

Here are the email notifications received by all Moderators:

1.Receive Email Notifications on Account updated as Moderator: Moderators (Community/ Campaign/ Custom Filed/ Group) will receive the email notifications for Account updated to Moderator.


2. Receive Email Notifications for Approve New Members:
Community moderator will receive email notifications for new member account approval.



3. Receive Email Notifications for Approve New Ideas: Community moderator and Campaign Moderator will receive email notifications for new idea approval.

Note: Only the Campaign moderator will get a notification for new idea approval only if the 'campaign level new idea approval' is enabled.


4. Receive Email Notifications for Approve New Comment:
Community moderator and Campaign Moderator will receive email notifications for new comment approval.


5. Receive Email Notification for Private Comment:
Community moderator will get an email notification for private comments.


6. Receive Email Notification for Flagged Idea (Report Abuse or Duplicate): Community moderator will receive a flagged idea email to report abuse or report duplicate ideas.

Note: Campaign Moderator will also receive flagged idea email notifications if the respective campaign idea is reported as Abuse or Duplicate. 



7. Receive Moderator Notification Digest: Moderators will receive digest email notifications on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. 

8. Receive Email Notification for Community Task:  Moderators will receive pending Community Task email notifications. There are 3 types of community task digest frequency:
a) Stage notification Daily Digest.
b) Stage notification Weekly Digest.
c) Stage notification Monthly Digest.

9. Receive Workflow executed email: An email will be received by the moderator when a workflow in automation builder is executed and moderators need to be notified.

10. Contact Moderators: Moderators will receive email notification when a moderator uses Contact Moderators option from Idea portfolio >> Idea action

Apart from these email notifications, the moderators will receive all the emails received by the members.
