[Participation](https://help.ideascale.com/new-user-guides?hsLang=en#participation) # Dark Mode ## Dark mode switch and visibility ***Path: Topbar >> Profile Dropdown >> Dark Mode*** | What is Dark Mode? | | --- | | Dark Mode is a display setting that switches the IdeaScale interface between a Light and a Dark color scheme across front-end and back-end pages. | Dark Mode is enabled from the Profile dropdown. It applies across every front-end and back-end page within the Workspace and Community, giving Administrators, Moderators, and Members a consistent viewing experience throughout the platform. --- ### Role Permissions 1. Select the Profile dropdown, available from any page within the Workspace or Community. 2. Workspace Landing Page 2. Homepage 3. Profile Page 4. Leaderboard 5. Idea Details Page 6. Custom Pages 7. Moderator Dashboard 2. Idea Portfolio 3. Members (Member Management) 4. Campaigns (Campaign Management) 5. Settings (Workspace & Community Settings) 6. Reporting 7. Translation Moderation (Workspace & Community) 8. Yes. Dark Mode applies across every front-end and back-end page within the Workspace and Community, including administrative dashboards such as the Moderator Dashboard, Idea Portfolio, and Reporting. #### Why do the Login and Registration pages not follow the mode selected in the Profile dropdown? The Login page and Registration page appear before sign-in, so they follow the browser's preferred display setting instead of the Profile dropdown switch.
