Community Configuration - General Info
Details of all the settings under General Info of Community Configuration section.
Path: Community Settings >> Community Configuration >> Community Info >> General Info
The General Info section allows to configure basic community information, including the community name, community key (non-editable), community URL (non-editable), description, and community privacy settings. Let’s explore each of these in detail.

Community Name

Set the community name here. This name will appear wherever the community is referenced across the workspace, including in community email notifications. It can be changed at any point of time. It should be within 28 characters.
Community Key & Community URL

The community key and community URL are defined when the community is first created. Because they function as unique identifiers for your community, they cannot be edited later from the admin interface. If you need to update either of these values, the community admin should submit a request to IdeaScale Support for assistance.
Community Description

The community description is like a tagline or any additional complimenting sentence that can be seen below the community name on homepage. It can be styled with Rich text editing options and should be within 240 characters.
Community Privacy

The Community Privacy setting determines who can see and access your community. You can choose from three options: Public, Private, or Private & Joinable.
Public: A Public community is fully open and discoverable. Both members and non-members can view the community. All workspace members can find and join it from the Workspace homepage, non-logged-in users can see it on the login page, and the community can be indexed and found via external search engines.
Private: A Private community is restricted to approved members only. Both the community and its content are visible only to users who have been added to the community. It does not appear to non-members on the Workspace homepage and is not shown on the Workspace login page.
Private & Joinable: A Private & Joinable community combines restricted content access with broader visibility to workspace members. Only community members can see the community’s content, but all workspace members can see the community listed on the Workspace homepage and can request access by clicking the Join Community option.
